Model behaviour

Well the 26th was eventful. It was choc a block with ups and downs, highs and lows but I'll give ya a summery.

Well above all else the 26th was my birthday, hurray, 21 at last, so of course the night before I'd had some friends over and maybe I had a few drinks and maybe I didn't go to bed till the wee hours of the morning and maybe I had to be up at 7am so I was not the greatest sight to behold but ye know these things happen. The show must go on, literally.

So I made the 2 and a half hour journey from Roscommon to Dublin, ran about getting bits and pieces and then off to work in Dun Laoghaire.

I arrived to find the Lady of the shop stressed out because her make up artist couldn't make it. Luckily she's a very talented lady so making me up like a cyber geisha was no problem and with Blue off annoying terriers as she says (aka posting flyers) we were off to a flying start.

I had arrived early so I got straight into costume and make up to save time for the other models arriving at 2pm now that we were down a make up artist. 2pm came and Emma arrived....alone. Sure no worries, the other models were probable just a little delayed. We got our hair and make up finished and were rejoined by Blue but still no other models. Calls were made, facebook status' were put up, emails were sent out but to no avail. Before we knew it the host who was now also the make up artist had now to become a model in her own show as did the hairdresser and costume lady, the photographer just barely escaped being tied into a corset. Needless to say the host was disappointed, distressed and all the other Ds. Against the odds we made it work and even have the photographs to prove it.

We didn't do an actual runway in the end, more mingled which isn't my forte. Pose in clothes I can do, convince a 60 year old bloke to buy a corset, not so good. Had a nice drink that tasted like licorice though. Always good to discover new drinks you like.

So in short I got to wear fabulous clothes, make new friends, have a few drinks and have awesome photographs taken of me and sure when isn't that a good day? It's also good (me being a noob and all) to make as many connections as possible and Honeytrap is a pretty cool place to be in the good books of, I mean like, have you seen their clothes?

On a personal note, was at Gaga tonight, she was AMAZING! Her Dublin accent was delish. Well worth the 75 quid :)

Well lots of love and unicorns,

Bubblegum x
